VS Sucker Punch or Right Cross

Striking Mace (Punch)

  1. Step up W/LT, LT inward block, RT backfist to temple, (the block and hit are like a round block) RT sidekick to knee.
  2. Step up W/LT, LT inward block, RT ridge hand to throat, RT side kick to knee.

Guarding the Wall (Punch)

  1. Step up W/LT, LT parry, RT vertical fist to the body, LT eye jab cut block, LT scoop to clear, RT Palm Heel Hook, grab and slam oppt. into wall.
  2. Step up W/LT, LT parry, RT vertical fist to the body, LT eye jab cut block, LT scoop to clear, RT Ridge hand to the groin, RT Elbow

Striking Fang (Punch from rear hand boxer style.)

  1. (Closed or matched lead stance) Step back W/RT, LT palm block, RT eye jab (split sector), RT elbow to solar plexus, RT hammer fist to groin, RT eye rake, LT elbow to head.
  2. (Open or offset stance) Step back W/RT, LT palm block, RT eye jab (split sector), RT elbow to solar plexus, RT back fist to kidney, RT Ridge hand to groin, LT elbow to head.

Divided Swords (A, B)

  1. Step back W/RT, LT shield block, slide in RT elbow to ribs (bending over oppt), RT shooto to back of neck, LT chop to kidney, RT eye rake pullout.

  1. Step up w/LT, LT round block and grab, RT toe kick (hook kick) to groin, RT thrusting side kick to knee.
  2. Step up w/LT, LT round block and grab, RT toe kick (hook kick) to groin, step down and switch step for a RT thrusting knee to quad.

Kung Fu Cross (A, B)

  1. Step back W/LT, LT round block and grabbing with the Rt hand like lop sao, step across W/LT, LT forearm elbow break (using an Uppercut motion "Arm Rench"), LT hammer fist to groin, LT back fist to face.
  2. Step back W/LT, LT round block and grabbing with the Rt hand like lop sao, step across W/LT, LT forearm elbow break (using an Uppercut motion "Arm Rench"), LT hammer fist to groin, LT revering elbow to their face

Arm Hook (A, B)

  1. Step back with Rt foot, round block with eye jab (Lt parry, Rt eye jab). Rt hand grabs the wrist of their punching hand, shift your hips to 3:00 and break their elbow with a Lt Uppercutting Elbow.  Lt Pac Sao with Rt cross.
  2. Step back with Rt foot, round block with eye jab (Lt parry, Rt eye jab). Rt hand grabs the wrist of their punching hand, shift your hips to 3:00 and break their elbow with a Lt Uppercutting Elbow.  Lt Pac Sao with Rt cross. Pull Rt arm back, Rt Elbow to their face


Vs Lead Jab

  1. Lt footsteps back, Rt Huen Sao, Rt eye jab, Lt eye jab


Vs Rear Hammer Lock (Right arm locked behind your back)

Locking Arm (A, B)

  1. Step Lt back slightly (between their legs), LT reverse elbow to face, Circle Lt arm over oppts. arm, step back with RT, rotate hips to break arm (over hook arm break) Rt hinge step back to Bring oppt . 180 deg, (to bring head down), Rt 12 to 6 elbow to their spine, Grab shoulder W/RT hand, Rt Knee to mid-section.
  2. Step Lt back slightly (between their legs), LT reverse elbow to face, (That elbow is blocked) Lt Yes Elbow, Lt Hammer Fist to their nuts, left foot stomp, left reverse elbow to face. Circle Lt arm over oppts. arm, step back with RT, rotate hips to break arm (over hook arm break) Rt hinge step back to Bring oppt . 180 deg, (to bring head down), Rt 12 to 6 elbow to their spine, Grab shoulder W/RT hand, Rt Knee to mid-section.


Vs Rear Bear Hug (Arms Free)

Circling Elbows

  1. Rt steps out into Horse Stance, Lt grabs one of opponent's fingers and breaks it, Lt stomps their Rt foot then steps behind their Rt leg. Hip bump to break their structure, Lt Reverse Elbow to their face, Rt Angle 1 Hammer fist to their solar plexus. 

Spiraling Wrist (A, B)

  1. (Their Left hand is on top) Rt steps out into Horse Stance, Lt grabs one of opponent's fingers and breaks it. Both hands grab opponent's left hand. Step Rt foot to 10:00, Lt Hinge step counterclockwise 180 degrees to face opponent, this should put them in a reverse wrist lock, Left Snap Kick to the face.
  2. This variation is the same except your opponent's Rt hand is on top. Therfore you do the whole thing mirrored to the A variation.


Vs Rear Bear hug, Arms Pinned

Rising Elbows

  1. Step right foot out to 3:00, dropping down into horse stance while thrusting your arms forward (Super Man).  Left Yes Elbow, Left Hammer Fist to their groin, left tactical crush. Bring right foot up and stomp their right foot, then plant it back into Horse Stance. Then Circle your Left foot behind the opponent's right leg, staying in a deep horse stance. Execute a Left reverse elbow to their face. Then shift your weight to an Orthodox forward Bow Stance facing 7:30 while doing an angle 1 Hammer Fist to their solar plexus


Vs Rear Choke or Grab-Sucker Punch

Crash of the Eagle II (A-H)

  • Core turn: Step right foot back to7:30. Unwind your body clockwise to face your opponent while executing a Right "12 to 6" elbow to clear their hands. Then execute variations.
  1. Right lead elbow, right backfist
  2. Palm up Panther fist to their throat
  3. Right Bolo Uppercut, continue the circular motion of the arm like a windmill to grab the groin. Step back with the right foot, ripping at the groin while doing a left backfist.
  4. Left eye jab
  5. Left palm strike
  6. Left palm up panther fist
  7. Left vertical fiat to their solar plexus
  8. Left eye jab, they punch, right rolling bong sao, right bottom fist, right back fist to their face, step left foot up to a pinch stance, right back kick

Opening Cowl (A, B)

  1. Hinge step right foot forward to 10:30. Turning counterclockwise to face your opponent. While turning execute left outward block to clear their hands off your neck. Smoothly flow from the turn and clear into a right vertical fist to their solar plexus, execute a left lead palm strike, followed by a right palm strike
  2. Hinge step right foot forward to 10:30. Turning counterclockwise to face your opponent. While turning execute left outward block to clear their hands off your neck. Smoothly flow from the turn and clear into a right vertical fist. Step slide forward. Execute a left elbow followed by a right elbow


Vs Wrist Grabs (Cross)

Crossing Talon (Cross hand wrist grab there left to your left)

  1. Left hand does a counterclockwise huen sao to grab their wrist. Step your right foot to 12:00 and rotate to face 9:00 while doing an uppercut elbow to their grappled arm (breaking their elbow) bend them over with a police style arm bar. Then do a right "yes" elbow to their ear, right claw to the eye (pulling your hand and elbow upward like starting a lawn mower), then hit them with a right 12 to 6 elbows on the base of the skull. 
  2. Same as "A" but you hinge step back as you do the police arm bar.
  3. Same as "A" but you use the "praying hands" (hands in prayer position traveling from 3:00 to 9:00) clear into the re-grab instead of the Huen Sao
  4. Left hand Re-grab without the huen sao (think Viking handshake), Step your left foot back to 6:00, rotate to face 9:00 and do a right vertical ridge hand to their elbow (aka arm wrench)

Gift

  1. (Assuming they grabbed your left wrist with their left wrist) Re-grab your opponent's arm with your left hand. Step your right foot towards 11:00, pushing their arm across there centerline. Lift their arm to shoulder height. Now wing your left elbow out (like a chicken wing) striking their left elbow with the outside of your left elbow.

Raising the Sword

  1. (Assuming they grabbed your left wrist with their left wrist) Re-grab your opponent's arm with your left hand. Step your right foot towards 11:00, pushing their arm across there centerline. Lift their arm to shoulder height.  Execute a right "Yes Elbow" to their ribs under their left arm. (The one you have held high.) Then step your right foot to 3:00, while sweeping their left arm to the opposite side of you. (Taking the arm from your left to your right.) Execute a Left "yes elbow" to their ribs under their left arm. Then, going under the "magic doorway" under their left arm turn to face them while twisting their arm.  Rear snap kick to their face, lead 12 To 6 elbow to their twisted arm to break their elbow.


Vs Single Lapel or Shoulder Grab (Same side)

Drawbridge (A, B)

  1. Pin same side (Right), Left palm to face (Cut, Elbow up to block punch), Left step behind their left leg. Execute an outside reap by rotating their body (the nice version of outside reap.)  Then drop a knee to midsection and then palm to face.
  2. Pin same side (Right), Left palm to face (Cut, Elbow up to block punch), Left step behind their left leg. Execute an outside reap by rotating their body (the nice version of outside reap. Keep hold of the arm and stomp kick their armpit while jerking up on the arm to dislocate it.

Wing Break

  1. Use your left hand to reach across their arm to pin it to your chest. Step to 6:00 with your left foot while executing a right upwards elbow to their elbow for the break. Right kali scoop their left arm away and undercook their left shoulder.  Use your left hand to hook their neck on their left side. Hinge step counterclockwise with your left foot to 3:00 to displace them. Left knee

Vs Double Lapel Grab or choke

Covering Talon l (A, B)

  1. Left hand pins opponents left hand to chest. Step your right foot to 12:00 as you execute a right horizontal elbow over their arm followed by a right reverse elbow to their face.
  2. Left hand pins opponents left hand to your chest. Step your left foot back to 6:00 as you execute a right palm heel hook. Then do a double thumb gouge followed by a head but.

U-punch (A, B)

  1. Step your left foot back to 6:00, then U-punch (left eye jab and low right punch to solar plexus).  Use your left hand to pin their left hand to your chest. Execute a right snap kick followed by a right palm up panther fist to the throat.
  2. Step your left foot back to 6:00, then U-punch (left eye jab and low right punch to solar plexus).  Use your left hand to do a downward block in order to clear their hands off you. Execute a right snap kick followed by a right palm up panther fist to the throat.

Vs Full Nelson

Full Nelson

  1. Attempt to bring your elbows to your ribs. (This will often make the opponent push down bending you over).  Use your right foot to stomp on their right foot then step your right foot out to horse stance.  Reach left hand down to crush the groin then step your left foot around the outside and behind their right leg. Then execute a left reverse elbow to their chin followed by a right hammer fist to their face or chest.

VS Two Man Attack (Rear bear hug arms free, Front punch)

Eagle Pin

  1. Step 1 Addressing the punch first: Split sector gunt (Left parry + right angle 1 hammer fist to their bicep). Then execute a right backfist followed by a right snap kick to the puncher. Step 2 Addressing the bear hug: Use your right foot to stomp on their right foot then step your right foot out to horse stance.  Reach left hand down and break one of their fingers.  Then step your left foot around the outside and behind their right leg. Then execute a left reverse elbow to their chin followed by a right hammer fist to their face or chest. Finally, side kick the punching man.

VS Two Hand Rear Wrist Grab

Shackle Break (A, B)

  1. Re-grab, Step forward, Back kick.
  2. Re-grab, step your left foot forward towards 2:00.  Turn clockwise to execute a right reverse elbow to their face.  Grab their left arm with your right arm and use your left hand to execute a police arm bar bending them over. Execute a right followed by a left 12 to 6 elbow to their back, then finish with a knee to the ribs while pulling them in with both hands.

Ground Attack

Ascending to Heaven (Kick Attack while sitting) (A, B)

  1. (Sitting on the ground Indian style) X block the kick, lean back to your left side, creating a post with your left hand and executing a right side kick to their knee. Execute a Stand safe then another right side kick.
  2. (Sitting in a chair and the attacker is coming from 2:00) Right bottom fist to the groin, stand up into a headbutt.

Bowing to Buddha (A, B) The opponent is holding you down while trying to knee.

  1. Start kneeling on your right knee. Right downward block their knee Strike, right bottom fist their groin, then stand up and right backfist their face.
  2. Same as A but you are standing in a Thai clench. 


Close Range Attack Technique

Attack from the Temple (Two Man Attack One at 12;00 one at 6:00)

Stand in Hostile standoff position (Jerry Smith's thinker) or natural stance. Step your right foot forward to 12:00 and execute a right horizontal elbow. Transition into a right bottom fist to their groin then a right backfist to their face. Turn counterclockwise to face the man behind you and execute a right snap kick to their groin.

Vs Overhead Club Attack

Crossing The Sun (A, B, C) 

  1. Step left foot forward and you X block at their wrist. Right hand lop saos as you break their arm with a left upward elbow. Use the left elbow to bend them over with a police arm bar. Then execute a left reverse elbow to their face, then an upward eye claw (the motion is like starting a lawnmower) and finally a 12 to 6 elbow.
  2. Same as A but you hinge step back with your right foot as you to the Police armband. 
  3. Same as A but you do a left eye jab as you do the right lop sao. Then continue with the arm break.

VS Front Tackle 

Encircling Arms (A, B)

  1. Step right foot out to 3:00 then hinge step your left foot back to 3:30. Simultaneously guide the attackers head with your left-hand palm down on the back of their skull, then execute a right angle 13 chop to the back of their neck. Finally left snap kick to their face.
  2. (They get their arms around our waist.) Step right foot out to 3:00 then hinge step your left foot back to 3:30. Simultaneously guide the attackers head with your left-hand palm down on the back of their skull, then execute a right 12 to 6 elbow followed by a left 12 to 6 elbow. Finally hit them with a left knee.
